WAESS was founded to provide services to support international students
studying English in Western Australia with a view to entering University
here. A variety of services is offered, all designed to make the
stay in Western Australia as productive and rewarding as possible. The
service is personal, caring and individual. Parents can take comfort in
knowing that their son or daughter's guardian here in Australia is
looking after the interests of their child – the student’s welfare is
the primary concern. We understand young people, we understand
education, and we understand Western Australia. We particularly
understand the needs of Asian overseas students, as the founders
of the company were
born and brought up in Hong Kong. One of our strengths is that we were
founded by women, a factor which we see as a great plus, particularly
for female students. Of course, male guardianship can be arranged if
requested.
The First Few Weeks
The college or school will ensure that you are
located in the most suitable type of accommodation for your needs -
hall of residence, or lodgings. Throughout your stay we will check in to
ensure you are comfortable and satisfied.
There are a multitude of things to take care of in the first few weeks
of your arrival here, such as opening bank accounts, medical contacts
etc. You can be assured of our support, guidance and
assistance to ensure that your stay runs smoothly from the very beginning.
Our aim is to ensure that your study stay in Western Australia is not
only successful, but also enjoyable.
Ongoing Support
Once you are settled in, you will of course become more independent. However, whenever you need advice or assistance we are here to help, simply a phone call away. In addition, your guardian will meet you in college on a weekly basis to ensure all is well. Our mission is to support you in your endeavours, and you can be assured of personalised, on-going and caring service.
